About Santee House Church
Thank you for visiting the Santee House Church Page!
Location: We are in Santee right off of Hwy 125 and Mission Gorge. (full address sent when you join).
Schedule: 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
About the Home: When the weather is clear, we love to have House Church in the backyard. We have lots of seating outdoors, as well as a fire pit. When it’s chilly and/or rainy, we meet inside the home. While we love cats and dogs, we do not currently have any at our home, so this home is allergy-friendly. There is always plenty of parking on the street, so you won’t need to worry about finding a spot.
Current leadership: My name is Christopher “Chris” Adcock. I am originally from Texas but moved to San Diego in June of 2017. After looking for churches, I attended a service at Grace in September of 2017 and immediately felt called to serve here. After developing a community, I led the Recovery Program at Grace, and then became a leader in the Young Professionals community. I am still a leader for the Young Professionals group and currently serve on Sundays on the Prayer Team.
What to Expect: Food, fun, and fellowship. We will have dinner together, go deeper into the sermon from Sunday, engage in time for fellowship, and prayer that will encourage us in our walk with the Lord and empower us to live a Spirit-filled life. You may be new to church or you may have been attending church your whole life, or you may have not been to church yet at all. If you don’t know about Jesus or if you know a lot, no matter where you are, we would love for you to join us. The first hour consists of us gathering to have a meal and catch up. There are games in the backyard, such as horseshoes and giant Connect Four. During colder weather, we typically chat with each other and relax indoors. After the first hour, a small ice breaker question is introduced, which usually turns into a fun conversation. We watch a recap of the Sunday sermon called The Weekly, and then we dive into questions and prayer. If you are new, we know that being vulnerable can feel like a challenge. We stand by Grace’s phrase of being a safe place. We love to pray over each other, sending praises to Jesus for blessings, and prayers for healing. “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Our Current Demographic: While there is no set age range and we invite people of all ages, our House Church mostly consists of people between the ages of 25 and 45.
Childcare: We do not have the capacity for childcare at this time, but it is in the works.
Food: I love to cook so I usually prepare the meals. Sometimes, we cook together or ask people to bring an item. We even had a fun day where we learned how to make homemade tortillas! We also cater to allergies and dietary restrictions, so please reach out and let me know if there are any accommodations I can make for you.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, we would love for you to stop by! If you have any questions, there is an option to send those when you sign up and I will gladly answer any questions that I can. We look forward to meeting you!
